Privacy Policy

How EON Financials collects, uses, and protects your information.

Last updated: March 2026

EON Financials, LLC ("EON Financials," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website (eonaudit.com) and our desktop application (collectively, the "Service"). Please read this policy carefully. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

When you create an account, purchase a subscription, or contact us, we may collect the following personal information:

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Company or agency name
  • Billing address
  • Payment information (processed securely through Stripe; we do not store credit card numbers)
  • License key and subscription details

1.2 Usage Data

We may collect anonymized, non-personally-identifiable usage data to improve the Service, including:

  • Application version and operating system
  • Feature usage patterns (which features are used, frequency of use)
  • Error logs and crash reports
  • Session duration and general usage metrics

1.3 Financial Documents

EON Financials processes bank statements and financial documents that you upload to the application. In Phase 1 (desktop application), all financial documents are processed and stored locally on your computer. Your bank statements, transaction data, and audit reports never leave your machine unless you explicitly choose to use cloud features in a future release.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Service delivery: To provide, maintain, and operate the EON Financials application and website, including processing your bank statements and generating audit reports.
  • Account management: To manage your subscription, process payments, issue and validate license keys, and communicate account-related updates.
  • Customer support: To respond to your inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and provide onboarding assistance.
  • Service improvement: To analyze anonymized usage data and improve the accuracy of our Local AI models, application performance, and user experience.
  • Communications: To send transactional emails (license keys, billing receipts, subscription updates) and, with your consent, product updates or educational content.
  • Legal compliance: To comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal processes.

3. Data Storage and Security

3.1 Phase 1 — Desktop Application

In the current desktop version of EON Financials, all financial data — including uploaded bank statements, transaction categorizations, and generated audit reports — is stored locally on your Windows computer. No financial data is transmitted to our servers or any third-party service. Your data remains entirely under your control.

3.2 Phase 2 — Cloud Features (Future)

When cloud features are introduced, data will be stored in encrypted databases hosted on Supabase infrastructure. All data will be encrypted at rest and in transit using industry-standard encryption protocols (AES-256 and TLS 1.2+). Access to cloud-stored data will require authentication and will be limited to your authorized account users.

3.3 Security Measures

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information, including:

  • Encrypted communication channels (HTTPS/TLS) for all web traffic
  • Secure payment processing through Stripe (PCI DSS compliant)
  • Access controls limiting employee access to customer data
  • Regular security reviews and updates

4. Third-Party Services

We use a limited number of trusted third-party services to operate EON Financials:

  • Stripe: Payment processing for subscriptions and billing. Stripe's privacy policy governs the handling of your payment information. Visit stripe.com/privacy for details.
  • Calendly: Demo scheduling. When you book a demo through our website, your name and email are shared with Calendly to facilitate scheduling. Visit calendly.com/privacy for details.
  • Resend: Transactional email delivery (license keys, receipts, account notifications).
  • Analytics: We may use privacy-focused analytics (such as Plausible Analytics) to understand website traffic. These tools do not use cookies or collect personally identifiable information.

5. Data Sharing Policy

We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share your personal information or financial data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

We may share limited information only in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers: With trusted third-party vendors (listed above) who assist in operating the Service, subject to contractual obligations to protect your data.
  • Legal requirements: If required by law, subpoena, court order, or governmental regulation.
  • Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case your information would remain subject to this Privacy Policy.
  • With your consent: When you have given explicit permission to share your information.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access: You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction: You may request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Deletion: You may request that we delete your personal information, subject to legal retention requirements.
  • Data portability: You may request your data in a structured, commonly used format.
  • Opt-out: You may opt out of non-essential communications at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us directly.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at support@eonaudit.com. We will respond to your request within 30 business days.

7. Cookies and Tracking

Our website uses minimal cookies necessary for the functioning of the site (such as session management). We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking pixels. If analytics are implemented, we use privacy-first solutions that do not rely on cookies.

8. Children's Privacy

EON Financials is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected information from a minor, we will take steps to delete such information promptly.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
